Four Traps Closer to Our Goal!

Happy New Year from Japan Cat Network!

I would like to start the new year off by thanking you, our supporters, most kindly for helping us to purchase four additional traps over the winter holidays. This was our first attempt to raise money, and your generosity showed us that people indeed want to participate in the cause to help reduce the number of cat births out on the street.

I didn’t realize I’d have to wait so long for sunny day to take a photo but here you go.

Humane traps purchased with your help

(patiently modeled by JoJo).

We purchased two medium sized traps, two small cat traps (plus two trap covers), for the purpose of spaying and neutering stray cats. That gives us a total of seven traps. This is suitable for our current needs, though we anticipate a lot of growth this year and our long term goal is for thirty traps.

With these new traps (purchased essentially by the members of Angels with Fur), we can greatly extend our ability to lend traps. I will travel from Nagoya to Kobe to lend traps or assist with trapping. If you, or someone you know needs help, please contact me. If you live outside of that area and
need help, please contact me anyway.

We are looking at 2008 as a year of growth for Japan Cat Network: reaching out, building awareness and launching a lasting plan to make a real difference. We appreciate your involvement.
