Betsy
Friendly but nervous. She was found as a result of one of her kittens being found, unmoving, under a bush by one of our students. Her kitten recovered at the vet’s and we rounded up all six kittens after trapping Betsy, the mom. Two kittens were rehomed and four still live in the shelter.

Charlie
Affectionate, loves a good scratch under the chin. Found at about 8 weeks of age abandoned at our local train station with an open bag of potato chips.

Chelsea
Very friendly but likes people a lot more than cats. Found abandoned near train station.

Chocho
Friendly and quiet. She was found abandoned and tied to a chair outside a cafe.

Chula
Sweet, loving, and loves the lap. He just showed up outside the shelter one day.

Cosmo
A big, sweet, cat. He was found with scabies, living behind a supermarket. He has FIV, but has otherwise recovered.

Dottie
Friendly and talkative. She was found severely malnourished and with a badly damaged leg huddled behind a restaurant.

Grace
Friendly, loves to be petted. She was found abandoned near a train station.

Hotaru
Friendly and cuddly. He was left outside the shelter in a cardboard box at about 3 weeks of age. (Read about Hotaru and his best friend).

Jelly Bean
Very playful. She was found in a taped shut cardboard box in left at the side of the road (See her Cat Tales story).

Kuro, Oki, Jessie
(top left to right) Kuro–friendly and playful. Found with his brother (below) Oki and sister Hana (rehomed) abandoned at about 1 day old on the side of the road. Muffin–sweet but shy. Found with his brother Jessie (to the right) and sister Polly (sitting somewhere else) in a cardboard box outside a convenience store. Abandoned at only a few days old (see Cat Tales). Below is Xena, friendly and playful. Found abandoned at about 4 weeks of age, with 2 siblings outside a supermarket.

Lilly, Alice, Tenshi
(left to right) Lilly, Alice, and Tenshi. Lilly and Alice are affectionate. David rescued them from a woman putting them into a plastic bag, planning to throw them and their 3 other siblings into the river. Tenshi, at 8 years old, is friendly and a little lazy. He was born here along with one brother to Greta, whom we’d just rescued, and didn’t know was pregnant.

Luffy
Luffy is one of our Hirakata Project cats. Before starting our TNR project at Hirakata City, we rescued Luffy and Tiger so that they could receive immediate medical treatment. Track Luffy’s progress as we try to restore his health.

Luna
Shy, but playful. One of Betsy’s kittens.

Malcolm
Very affectionate and loves to be held, but fearful of noise. Found abandoned outside an empty house, as an adult weighing under 2 kilograms. He now weighs around 5 kilograms, a healthy size for him.

Nene
Friendly and pretty. Peaches’ sister.

Peaches
Friendly and loves to be held. She and her sister Nene were trapped at about 6 months of age, but turned out to be too friendly to be returned safely.

Sasquatch
A big and quiet softie! He was abandoned as an adult cat in a parking lot and we found him while out on cat patrol.

Senor
Quiet and a little shy. He was found abandoned near the river at about 5 weeks of age (Read about him in Cat Tales).

Tiger
Tiger is one of our Hirakata Project cats. Before starting our TNR project at Hirakata City, we rescued Luffy and Tiger so that they could receive immediate medical treatment. Track Tiger’s progress as we try to restore his health.

Trixie
Friendly, active and talkative. Found, abandoned with collar, in a parking lot.

Winnie
Playful and loves a nice back scratch. One of Betsy’s kittens
