This is a list of the cat profiles transferred from the available page, to this page, once they found new homes. We’ve recently switched to adding photos and posting updates from adopters, on the cats’ individual pages linked to the rescue list.
Ewok
Playful and shy long haired tortie. She was found abandoned in a paper bag, in front of an animal control center. Now 3 months old, she loves to lick your fingers, but is still a little fearful and must be approached quietly. Her long fluffy hair and round black eyes, give her the look of those adorable Star Wars characters. Her new name is Filou, and she has found her new home in Tokyo
Choco
Transferred to PAWS for adoption at Yokosuka Naval Station! Playful and friendly black male, he has found his forever home. His family says “He is doing great … And travis loves him. I enjoy having him , it is just great. And he sleeps with us at nite.. he is just the cutiest.”
Cookie
Transferred to PAWS for adoption at Yokosuka Naval Station! Very affectionate dark brown tabby male. Choco’s brother, he has also found a new home. Pictures coming soon…
Mint
Transferred to PAWS for adoption at Yokosuka Naval Station! Shy and playful black and white. He has found a new home. Pictures from his new home coming soon–pictures from the shelter here.
Lavender
Transferred to PAWS for adoption at Yokosuka Naval Station! Quiet and shy calico. She was found living in an herb garden behind a restaurant, with her three brothers. Now 8 months old, she’s warmed up a lot. Recently adopted by a family through PAWS, Yokosuka. Waiting for pictures from her new home! See more of Lavender and her brother Mint, here.
Simon
Male, Black and white tuxedo. Now 3 years old, he was found with his brother two sisters in a box outside a supermarket. Adopted by a family through PAWS, Yokosuka.
Coco
Coco was adopted shortly after being rescued from the park in Hirakata-shi, where she was abandoned as a 6 week old kitten last May. Her new family came out to the countryside in Shiga-ken for a festival, and met Coco at our adoption event there. They fell in love with her, and we were very surprised to hear that they lived in Hirakata-shi! We just got an update from the family, so are posting the new photo. Coco was the first kitten that we adopted out from our TNR park project, and we’d like to thank her family for giving her a great home, as well as all of the park volunteers, who made a new home possible!
Davy-Dani
Friendly and playful white with a little black female–we thought she was a male, at first! Sister of Mickey and Peter’s, she loves to be one of the gang. Now 7 months old, her adoption is pending at PAWS.
Sage
Adopted from Yokosuka Naval Station! Playful and sweet white and ginger tabby–here is a message from his new family. “This is a picture of Sage and I cuddled in a chair after a long day.. 
He is doing great. He is finally coming closer to my son Jason. my son was actually able to touch him recently without sage running. although still unsure of Jason he doesn’t run as often. He also recieves his wet food in the morning and begs for it the rest of the day then I proceed to tell him Sage eat your crunchies no wet food till tomorrow, he eventually gives up and eats his crunchies. I bought him a kitty bed and put it in his favorite place to sleep which happens to be under my side of the bed so now he sleeps in his kitty bed under my side of bed. Sage has made it a habit to greet my hubsbund with a body rub to his legs when he comes home from work and occasionaly he will go ask for love from him while my husbund is watching tv. Most times sage follows me or sits where I am, if he isn’t sleeping. Sage is a joy to all of us and I’m glad we chose him as our little addition.”
Peter
Adopted from PAWS at Yokosuka Naval Station! Friendly and playful black and white male. A brother of Mickey’s, he’s a warm and happy boy. Now 7 months old, he has a happy new home. Here’s a message from his family: “The kitty is doing just fine. He was a bit timid at first, but seems very comfortable now. He and the other cat have made quite a bit of progress. They are not best friends yet, but are not fighting either. He is always purring (very loud). We are enjoying him very much.”
Annie
Transferred to PAWS for adoption at Yokosuka Naval Station! Affectionate and outgoing black and white female. She was found abandoned outside a train station. She’s a friendly 6 month old cat with a happy new home. Here’s a message from her new family: She is doing great and she is a VERY funny little cat.
Kota
Calm friendly black and white male bobtail. He’s a delightful boy, with an interesting contemplative face, suitable to it’s yin and yang coloring. His dream in life is finding the perfect sofa, and a buddy to share it with and now he has found that with Aya in Shiga ken See more pictures of Kota here.
Mickey
Friendly and playful black with white belly. He was found abandoned in a park with his sister and two brothers. Now 7 months old and in his happy Tokyo home! Here is a message from his new family:
He’s the centre of attention…You were right about him loving his toys - he’ll do anything for a furry mouse (and is onto no.3 already!).
Jane
Friendly and quiet calico. She was found abandoned in a public restroom, at only 1 week old. Now a well adjusted, 6 month old lap cat. Transferred to PAWS for adoption at Yokosuka Naval Station, Jane found her forever home with a very loving family. They are a younger couple with a 5 year old son. He fell in love with Jane and said she was the most beautiful cat he had ever seen. She took a liking to him right away playing and sitting on his lap. The new family says that they love Jane, their new baby girl, and think she’s very beautiful!
Sylvie-Poe
Beautiful silver American Shorthair, he was surrendered to animal control but escaped. Luck was with him when he landed on his feet here, and he has since found his forever home in Tokyo with Ron and Itsuko. He had a difficult time adjusting to change, at first, but has since become one of the family. His new name is Poe.
Takuya
Friendly and cheerful white and dark brown tabby. He was found abandoned and living in a park. Now 8 months old, he’s found a nice home in Kyoto and is now called Kamui.
Gucci
Gucci, another of An’s foster kitties, was found abandoned with his 4 siblings in a cardboard box in a park. All of the kittens were under 3 weeks old, and had to spend some time in the veterinary clinic.
An lovingly raised all 5, and Gucci was the last to find his permanent home with Kevin in Tokyo. He has kept his name and his habit of sucking on fingers. He sleeps in the bed and is a regular alarm clock, demanding food in the morning by sitting on Kevin’s chest until he gets up. They are the best of buddies.
Max
Max was found in a TNR project area in Osaka. An fostered him, and as with all of the kittens in her care, trained him to be as cute as possible! He was recently adopted by a family in Tokyo, and now lives with another cat and a big friendly dog, who is really interested in his new playmate. He is settling in nicely, and can be seen here enjoying the heated cat bed.
Larry
This very friendly ginger tabby, impressed his new foster family so much that they decided to adopt him. He was abandoned in a park, and found with his two brothers. He is a relaxed member of his new family, hanging out on the hot carpet, and sleeping on the futon.
Moe
Very friendly white and ginger tabby. He was abandoned in a park, and found with his two brothers. He is very attached to his brother Larry, and likes to suckle on his fur–Larry is a good sport, and seems to like looking after his little brother. Now living in Tokyo, where is brother is also being fostered.
Miffy..Ran-chan
Very friendly all white cat. She was abandoned outside an animal control center, dirty, hungry, and dehydrated. She is now a loving, happy, 6 month old cat. Now adopted by a family in Shiga-ken
Sasuke
Sweet and affectionate. He was found abandoned in a park with his sister and brother. Now living with his new family in Tokyo. They say that he is gaining a bit of weight, as he has a healthy appetite. He plays well and likes to be with them all the time, especially their daughter. The entire family loves him dearly, and visiting relatives are also big fans!
