Offline but on the job
Saturday, August 14 2010
Over a month of trying to limp along using a broken computer, which eventually quit altogether. We were able to use a desk-top that someone kindly loaned us to check and answer email, but we weren’t able to transfer data because the system on it is older than that of our previous computer.

Well, the good news is that what hasn’t killed us has perhaps made us stronger…the bad news is that Parvo has once again darkened our doorstep.

Camera friendly

Up at 3:00am, which seems like the darkest part of the night, when you’re caring for a sick one. Gave Sumi a drip, as she hasn’t been able to drink today, and seemed so uncomfortable…

Rosey Days
Friday, January 29, 2010
An eventful couple of weeks! We heard from Amanda that Rosie had managed to open a window and let herself outside. Amanda looked high and low for her, but couldn’t find her, and became very worried about it.

Colds and colder
Wednesday, January 13, 2009
Slow week, getting back to English classes, but continued to spend some time working on the web site and cats’ pages. Finished tallying the Rescue List totals for 2009, and was surprised to see that we are only 2 kittens over the excess number that we had last year.

Last big English class Christmas parties finished! I’m planning to substitute teach for a couple of classes next week, but then that’s it for a couple of weeks, so I can focus on the shelter work.

The last couple of weeks are a blur, with getting ready for colder days in the outdoor enclosures, managing new TNR projects, along with the usual busy cleaning and care schedule.

Furry up
Wednesday, November 4, 2009
A recent cold snap has gotten us in a hurry to begin winterizing the enclosures. Time to insulate the beds, set up heaters in the inside areas, and make sure that everyone has access to a warm nook!

As it turned out, one of the new rescues was in fact an old TNR. It was Nozomi, who had apparently moved locations.
