I ______________________________ (name of adopter(s)) agree to provide a permanent home for ______________________________ (name/description of cat(s)).
I understand that this contract is between Japan Cat Network and myself, and that if at any time I become unable to provide care myself, I will contact Japan Cat Network as soon as possible to discuss new placement possibilities. I will not rehome or relinquish the cat(s) without first contacting Japan Cat Network.
I agree to provide for and insure a good humane standard of care which includes:
- a good diet and constant access to clean water
- a suitable, clean, and safe environment for a cat of its age
- affection and playtime
- good medical care
- an environment free from neglect, mistreatment, or abuse by myself or others.
- NOT declawing the cat
If the cat(s) has not already been spayed or neutered upon adoption, I agree to have it spayed or neutered by 6 months of age and to provide proof of neutering or spaying to Japan Cat Network. If the cat(s) has already been neutered or spayed, I agree to pay for the cost of the operation and first vaccinations.
I give permission for a JCN representative to visit at any reasonable time to observe that contract conditions are being met. If I am unable to meet the conditions of this contract I agree to relinquish this cat to JCN.
Finally, I understand that every animal that leaves a rescue effort represents hours, perhaps months, of care and dedication by those who are hightly invested in the animal’s welfare. I agree to take the handing over of this responsibility to me, as the new caregiver, very seriously.
