Have already heard back from Lucky’s new foster home–they officially concur, he’s cute!!! We sent his little bed, blanket and toy along with him, and it appears to be well appreciated. Rose and Daisy went to their new foster home, and are still a little shy, but I know they will warm up soon. Rosey cannot get enough hugs in the day, so she is going to love having a hugger all to her and her sister’s selves. Miiko went to another of our Cirque Du Soleil crew of all round cat enthusiasts. And, Mipple and Mew finally got to their new permanent home with Dylan, who patiently waited for them to make it out there. David took all of them out to Tokyo himself, which took some organization to make sure nobody spent too much time in hot carriers. Now that everybody has been delivered, he has a chance to meet with volunteers, as well as a few people looking for help. We were contacted about a homeless cat in Tokyo, with only 3 legs, and he is apparently now suffering from a bad eye infection. The plan is for David to go take a look, probably pick him up for rehab back here at the shelter, and then take him back to stay with the couple who have been feeding him, until we can find a home for him. David has been busy from start to finish this trip, but he’s staying with 3 of his favorite kitties at Judy’s, so there’s that!
I had my own long night and day with Chobi’s diarrhea problem getting worse last night. I cleaned her up and gave her a little mashed soft boiled pumpkin, then sent her off to the vet in the morning. She’s doing much better, but still has a low appetite. A day of scrubbing down enclosures, English classes (with Saku-chan), cat food shopping, feeding, and emails. Tomorrow is Sunday, my day off from classes, so hopefully a chance to get up an hour later than usual. Chobi is burrowed in a soft blanket on the bed with me, where I can keep an eye on her, and we’ll try to catch some Zs together now!
Lucky looks purrfectly happy!
Just look at his round kitten belly…very kissable!
I am glad your load was lightened a little and some kitties are off to new lives and adventures.
I hope you are able to help the poor 3 legged kitty…eye infections are nothing to sneeze at!
I can tell that the weather is cooling down here in Maine…even without knowing the exact temperature. I am once again surrounded at night by my four fuzzy kitties. They are wonderful to nap with but a bit of a challenge to keep from cramping up from lack of being able to move my limbs! Ah well, such are the perils of sharing your world with cats!
