December - Hitomi and husband adopt foster kitties Mikan and
Yuzu!
Hitomi
and her husband rescued 3 young kittens on September 30 all of which
were adopted by a family in Tokyo 1 month later. Himawari, Tampopo, and
Sakura were
found living outside at around 6 weeks of age. They started off shy but
with some dedicated attention (and innovative thinking!), they were
able to warm up to human interaction gradually. Hitomi came
up with an idea that would allow her to play and interact with the
kittens, without a chance for them to hide under furniture in the
house. She flattened some cardboard boxes, stood the cardboard up, and
clipped it together in a large circle. She put the kittens inside the
circle, and then she climbed inside with them. Though still a bit shy
and fearful in the cage, the kittens loved their play circle and
interacted with Hitomi happily there! Because of the kindness of their
rescuers, these three kittens were able to go on to happily live in a
forever home. Please contact
us if you are
able to provide foster care, giving more kitties like this a chance.
