Aito/Specter
Specter was rescued from a Hikone TNR site, and came to JCN on October 4, at around 5 weeks of age. He came from a group of 9 kittens rescued, and it's unclear which of the kittens are siblings. He had some upper respiratory symptoms with eye discharge, when rescued, and the sight in one of his eyes may be permanently impaired. However, he is active, and his impairment does not cause him problems in getting around. He was neutered on February 9. Specter is friendly and very playful. He is extremely affectionate, and loves being with people.  You'll never be lonely with Specter around! He has a lot of personality, is always full of purrs for 'his people', and even enjoys watching Animal Planet on TV! Specter has been moved around a lot to various homes, due to circumstance as well as to the fact that he's more attention hungry than some people are interested in having. He has now been transferred to a new family that plans to adopt him in the Tokyo area.  JCN regularly brings kittens and cats to the Kanto area for adoption and fostering. Feel free to contact us if you are interested in meeting available candidates.

****Notes****
2/11/11 - so Aito has decided that he wants to start sleeping with my kids at night and he's so patient and lets my kids carry him around the house. There's such great chemistry between him and my family! :) thought you should know he's at his full potential and completely content and happy with us.

2/4/11 - Aito is doing fantastic now that he's officially settled in here. The common goal is to work towards finding a compatible loving home for the kitty and I'm confident its here with us. He's now coming around to company (when he's not cat napping!) and I'm able to carry him around like a baby. In the beginning, he wasn't so sure of me carrying him at all but I think I've earned his trust and loyalty now. He always responds to my calls for him and really loves to snuggle in bed with me. No complaints, I'm in a king size bed! :)

2/2/11 - He's doing great Sharon, he's coming around more and more every day and showing his personality, even around my girls which is an awesome sign. Two nights ago he snuggled up with me to watch a movie and he's becoming more vocal everyday too. He's so much like my other kitties I had, we really are a great match! I recently noticed that his eyes are slightly different but I dont think it's anything to be alarmed about, just genetics. No fear, theres no puffiness, swelling, etc, its just the center of his eyes are different shapes.

Returned/transferred to new home late January

9/11 - Specter is doing great!  I have been trying out calling him "Aito", a Japanese name that means affection. He is so affectionate!  He did cry non stop the first night, a little the second night, but now he is doing great and just snuggles in between us!  He is eating and doing great, thank you! I didn't know he lived with you [volunteer], wow, so he has had like 4 homes-we are the 5th?  I think...But we promised him this will be his last and only home from now on! We plan to keep him as long as he lives :)
